Maxdome adds Universal Music videos
The German online video portal Maxdome has signed a VOD rights agreement with Universal Music to offer more than 150 music videos. The contract includes concerts in a variety of music genres, including rock, pop and dance music.
Astra’s big challenge in Germany
Almost three million German analogue DTH satellite households need to convert to digital before the final switch-off date of April 30, 2012. “That means 9,000 analogue households need to go digital per workday,” according to Wolfgang Elsäser, managing director Astra Deutschland, during the presentation of the 2010 Satellite Monitor results.
Astra reaches 135 million TV homes in 35 countries
Astra satellites are now reaching 135 million TV households, which equals 55% of all TV homes. After HD television, IPTV and connected TVs are growing the market, said Ferdinand Kayser, president and CEO, Astra at a presentation in Berlin.
