Poland is entering a period of new TV channel launches. Today (March 1) will see Cyfrowy Polsat, the country’s leading DTH platform, add National Geographic Channel HD to its offer.
Polskie Media, the operator of the commercial station TV4, will meanwhile launch a second channel named TV6 in May.
Like TV4, it will be distributed on the second DTT multiplex, which made its debut last autumn and is allocated to Polsat, TVN, TV4 and TV Puls, all of which are allowed enough capacity for two channels.
Separately, Kino Polska has announced that it will shortly launch a new channel named Kino Polska Muzyka.
Similar in image to Telewizja Kino Polska, it will target fans of Polish songs, Polish cinema and Polish pop culture.
