Liberty meets its targets

US court issues injunction against ivi

A federal judge in the US has ordered the internet video provider ivi TV to cease distributing broadcast TV stations over the internet. Seattle-based ivi was launched in September 2010 and charges users $4.99 (€3.73) per month for access to live internet simulcasts of signals from 55 TV stations.

Belgacom TV totals 975,000 set-top boxes

Belgian incumbent telecom operator Belgacom said that is has added 223,000 new Belgacom TV customers, leading to a total customer base of 975,000 at the end of 2010.

Sky Deutschland adds 183,000 subs

Sky Deutschland has reported a net growth of 183,000 subscribers in 2010 with churn rates at their lowest levels in over five years. The premium TV operator also said HD penetration more than doubled to 593,000 homes.
