Arris reported reduced revenues in the fourth quarter, in line with company expectations, as the technology company’s international revenues grew significantly.
Revenues of $266.2 million, compared to $300.0 million in Q4 2009 followed modest year-end spending by the big US cablecos. Full year 2010 and 2009 revenues were $1,087.5 million and $1,107.8 million, respectively.
The waters were muddied by a reduction in business from Comcast to which Arris had contributed to its major DOCSIS 3.0 project one year earlier.
But while spending by Comcast and Time Warner both fell, other US domestic business increased, and International’s contribution was upped from $293.4 million to $383.3 million. The 30% increase gave International a 35% share of 2010’s overall sales total of $1,087.5 million.
