The Lithuanian incumbent telco TEO LT ended 2010 with 131,200 subscribers to its IPTV and DTT services, which operate under the brand name GALA. This marked a 28.2% increase on the total a year earlier.
The number of TEO LT’s fibre optic internet access users meanwhile rose by 1.7 times to almost 104,000 in 2010, equivalent to nearly 30% of the company’s total broadband access users (346,000).
TEO LT’s consolidated revenues in 2010 amounted to LTL773 million (€223.7 million), down from LTL816 million a year earlier.
Its net profit was also down – from LTL169 million to LTL163 million – as was EBITDA, from LTL338 million to LTL310 million.
The company’s capital investments in 2010 stood at LTL191 million, with the majority (LTL158 million) allocated to the expansion of the core network and development of the next generation fibre-optic access network.
