KPN reports strong IPTV growth
Dutch incumbent telecom operator KPN has reported a strong increase in the number of IPTV customers, adding 57,000 homes to reach a total of 302,000 by December 31, 2010. The number of subscribers to the company’s Digitenne DTT platform dropped slightly to 895,000.

Thomson to deliver headends for Sweden’s DVB-T2
Thomson Video Networks has announced that it is supplying headend technology to broadcast network operator Teracom for Sweden’s roll out of DVB-T2. Already available to 70% of the country’s population, DVB-T2 is scheduled to cover the entire nation by the end of 2012.
Arqiva to deliver ABS-CBN bouquets
Arqiva has announced a five-year contract renewal to provide international distribution services for ABS-CBN International, the largest Filipino multimedia company in the US. The multi-continent deal involves delivering ABS-CBN’s eight-channel bouquet to DTH platforms in Europe and their North American programming to US DTH operator DirecTV.

Telekom Slovenia has announced that its cable TV services on fibre networks will be digitised on February 10.
