The Polish DTH platform Cyfra+ has announced that it will start carrying the BBC Worldwide channels BBC Entertainment and BBC Knowledge on February 1.
The move follows an agreement between the two parties signed in November last year.
BBC Entertainment will join the 32 movie channels offered by Cyfra+, while BBC Knowledge will be added to the 13 channels placed in the category “knowledge about the world”.
The leading Polish DTH platform Cyfrowy Polsat has meanwhile added FOX and Playhouse Disney to its offer.
They, along with National Geographic Channel and National Geographic Channel HD, will ultimately replace the BBC Worldwide channels BBC Entertainment, BBC Knowledge, BBC Lifestyle and CBeebies, which Cyfrowy Polsat has said it will drop at the beginning of next month.
