Just 588 additional customers were added in the quarter to November 30, 2010, though this is an improvement on the 562-customer loss for the same period in 2009.
A further 3,592 broadband internet customers were added on the quarter to reach 166,779, while digital TV customers grew by 12, 735 to 172,587 and telephony by 3,264 to 248,730.
Cabovisao returned to subscriber positivity in the previous quarter having previously been a drain on the resources of its Canadian parent Cogeco. The upturn followed a package of measures introduced in order to counter churn.
However, it remains among the smaller operators in Portugal with 905,445 homes passed, 269,553 homes connected and 848,951 revenue generating units.
This has to be contrasted with the 3,166,500 homes passed of Zon TV Cabo and its accompanying 3,076,500 RGUs as reported at the end of September 2010.
