Former Ono CEO Richard Alden has been appointed as non-executive chairman of Mirada.
The 47 year-old spent 11 years at the Spanish cablenet, joining as chief financial officer in 1998, and becoming its chief executive officer three years later. Alden had previously been CFO Optel Inc and Videotron Holdings, having begun his career as a chartered accountant at Deloitte.
Commenting on the appointment, Mirada CEO José Luis Vázquez, said: “Richard is a prominent industry figure with a proven track record, a wealth of experience and a number of international contacts that will be invaluable as we progress our international expansion.
Headquartered in London, Mirada operates technical centres in the UK and Spain, its client base includes ONO, Disney International TV, Sky, ITV and MTV Networks.
