The Czech Republic has begun to make concrete plans for the introduction of DVB-T2 technology.
Quoting Pavel Dvorak, the president of the Czech Telecom Office (CTU), E15 says that the country plans to finish testing DVB-T2 at the end of next year and possible hold a tender for DVB-T2 digital TV broadcasting in 2012 or 2013, with the first commercial DVB-T2 service becoming operational between 2013-15.
DVB-T2 tests began in Prague this year and will be expanded to Ceske Budejovice next year.
