VimpelCom has signed a capacity agreement with SES World Skies. Under it, the company will use 36 MHz of C-band capacity and the West Hemi beam on the NSS-9 satellite to increase the volume of services to Eastern Siberia and Far East of the country.
It will also help increase the capacity of VimpelCom’s Beeline satellite network on Russian satellites and provide for the active development of VimpelCom’s mobile networks in the regions using Russian Express satellites.
VimpelCom is headquartered in Amsterdam and has operations in Russia, where it operates under the brand name Beeline, the CIS, Vietnam and Cambodia.
