France 24 has signed a new distribution agreement with Asia Sat to commence the distribution of its French channel while it will continue to distribute its English channel throughout the Asia-Pacific region on AsiaSat 5 via the SatLink platform.

Ofcom planning to close 170 posts

UK media regulator Ofcom has announced plans to reduce its staff numbers by one fifth. The 170 jobs will go in response to the coalition government’s Comprehensive Spending Review that requires it to make budget cuts of 30% by 2015.

Euronews to launch in Ukraine
