Continued growth for KPN TV

Dutch incumbent telecoms operator KPN said the total number of its TV customers, IPTV and Digitenne, continued to grow by 23% year-on-year to more than 1.1million at the end of Q3, 2010. This results in a 14% share of the total television market, compared with 12% at the end of Q3, 2009.

Echostar renews Arqiva contribution deal

Akado finds regional partner

The Russian cableco Akado has reached an agreement with a regional network operator named ProektSvyazTelekom. As a result, it will be able to offer a full range of its digital TV services to 5,000 of the latter’s subscribers, located in Grad Moskovsky in the Moscow region.

NBC signs Virgin HD deal

Popular NBC shows including House, Heroes and 30 Rock will be available in high definition to Virgin Media subscribers following a multiscreen agreement between the cableco and NBC Universal International Television Distribution.
