PIKE CONFERENCE – SOPOT. UPC will set up an advanced service monitoring the viewing habits of its digital subscribers in Poland next year.
According to Jaroslaw Pijanowski, director of sales and marketing and a member of the board at UPC, it will be based on a panel of 5,000 and will be able to measure a wide range of activities, including the usage of PVRs and additional services.
The take-up of UPC Polska’s digital offer is growing rapidly, with the number of subscribers expected to reach at least 500,000 in 2011.
The cable operator has already cooperated with the Polish Chamber of Electronic Communication (PIKE) in analysing the viewing habits of its subscribers.
