Euronews and Viasat Broadcasting have concluded an agreement to broadcast the international news channel in Scandinavia and the Baltic states.
As a result, euronews has launched on the Viasat satellite platform in the Baltic states, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in English and Russian, and in four Scandinavian countries, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, in English. Other languages may be added in the future.
In these seven countries, euronews is now available on the Viasat platform through the Astra 4A satellite.
With this new agreement and the launch on Viasat Ukraine in August 2009 in nine languages, euronews is now available in 890,000 Viasat households in eight countries.
