Croatia’s Council for Electronic Media (VEM) has awarded digital licences to two TV channels.
MPortal reports that RTL2 and Doma TV will be allocated capacity on the second DTT multiplex, which has national coverage, for a period of 15 years.
In securing the licences, the operators of the two channels (RTL Television Limited and Nova TV, which is part of the CME group) beat off competition from Kapital Network (Net Capital Ltd) and OBN (GRP Media).
Both channels will offer specialised programming, with RTL2 focussed on entertainment and Doma TV, according to CME, high quality content and film premieres.
