IBC 2010 – Hall 1, Stand 1.B51/1.D59. Solaris Mobile will showcase at the 2010 IBC in Amsterdam, on both the SES-Astra and Eutelsat stands, with a focus on mobile broadband and broadcast solutions for the digital media generation.
This year Solaris Mobile’s service offering emphasis will be on the delivery of digital satellite radio as the migration from analogue to digital radio begins to pick up pace. The team will be on hand throughout the four day exhibition to explain and discuss how the integration of satellite and terrestrial components operating as a single hybrid network, provides a powerful and efficient way of delivering digital radio so that for the first time, listeners can interact with their favourite radio services. Hybrid satellite and terrestrial networks offer the fastest and most efficient way of delivering digital radio locally, nationally and on a regional scale.
The ability to provide a solution to the increasing demands for mobile media content driven by the smart phone generation and the potential this offers service providers will also be communicated by the team during IBC. Combining satellite and terrestrial transmission enables the provision of mobile broadband and broadcast services allowing access to rich media content. This allows media hungry consumers to access interactive services such as video on demand and audio content, when and where they want, directly to their smart phone and other mobile devices.
