Dutch XMS to test network storage
the Dutch service provider XMS, which delivers triple play services over FTTH networks, has said it will test a network storage with 100 customers. At the same time, the operator is introducing a set-top box with a PVR.
SBS to launch daily 3D programming
SBS Broadcasting will launch its own 3D pilot channel in September 2010. The broadcaster will use the 3D VidiGo live production suite, to be shown at IBC 2010 by Hilversum based VidiGo.
Fehervari pulls the plug on Exqi Plus
Belgian based media entrepreneur Gabriël Fehervari, CEO of production house Alfacam, has decided to pull the plug on Exqi Plus because of the channel’s continuing losses.
UPC adds SBS channels in HD
UPC Nederland will add the three HD channels from SBS Broadcasting to its line-up on September 1. Later this year, the cabler will also start to offer catch-up programming from the three channels, SBS 6, Net 5 and Veronica.
