Spain’s leading cable operator ONO has announced its football transmission plans for the 2010/11 season, which officially kicked off on August 28.
According to the company, it will show La Liga, Champions League and Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup) on the a la carte channel GOL TV and on pay-per-view.
In the case of GOL TV, subscribers will be offered four La Liga games, always including one featuring Real Madrid or Barcelona, as well as the best games from Copa del Rey and games from the First Division, for a monthly fee of €14.90.
GOL TV will also offer coverage of leading foreign football leagues and international football competitions such as Copa Libertadores.
In a separate development, ONO will add a new sports channel to its offer on September 1. Known as Oro Sports TV, it will focus on boxing and form part of the operator’s TV Total package.
