The Russian company Dalsvyaz has announced that it now has 100,000 subscribers to its IPTV service.
The service, which is the second largest in the Far East of the country, where Dalsvyaz operates, has grown steadily since its launch four years ago, ending 2008 with 41,000 subscribers and 2009 with 77,000. Dalsvyaz expects its take-up to rise to 125,000 by the end of this year.
Much of the growth in the service’s revenues has been put down to the success of the VOD service it offers to subscribers. Aside from it, they can also receive over 100 Russian and foreign digital channels, to which will be added HD services this autumn.
