Orange has denied that it will enter into a consortium with one of the bidders for a DTT licence in Romania.
Quoted in ZF, a source nevertheless added that the company would not exclude co-operating with companies participating in the tender and could consider providing them with their communications services.
There have recently been rumours circulating that Orange was interested in forming a consortium with TDF, which along with RCS/RDS, Radiocom, Media Village, Romtelecom, ORS and General Satellite has bought the specifications for the licences for what will be the first two DTT multiplexes in Romania.
However, the tender for these licences, which is due to be launched shortly, looks in grave danger following a decision by the government to put back the ASO date by three years to 2015.
