Brightcove doubled the size of its global customer base in the first half of this year to more than 1,800 media publishers in 48 countries.
A third of the cloud-based online video platform’s revenue is now generated outside the US thanks to expansion in Europe and the APAC region, having opened offices in Spain and France, as well as become a fully localised player in Japan.
Among the new customers Brightcove secured during the period were American Standard, Audi France, D-Link Systems Inc and Electronic Arts.
In the UK alone, it signed on Turner Broadcast, Virgin Media, EMI, The Financial Times, The Football Association, Cantos Communications and Warehouse.
Brightcove has also announced the appointment of Dennis Rose as the VP for the APAC region and of Elizabeth (Betsey) Nelson to its board of directors.
