VimpelCom is reported to have signed an agreement with the Walt Disney Company under which it will show the latter’s titles on Beeline TV’s VOD service.
According to AKTR and RBK, under the terms of the deal subscribers will be able to watch all Disney film premieres simultaneously with their appearance on DVD. They will also have access to 60 of the most popular titles from Disney’s Wall-E catalogue. Premieres will cost R75 (€1.9) each over a 24-hour rental period and library titles R50.
VimpelCom is also understood to be in negotiations with Universal.
