Viasat Broadcasting has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights to the Barclays Premier League in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania for the next three seasons.
The rights will be made available on the Viasat Sport Baltic pay-TV channel, as well as a new dedicated Viasat Premier League HD channel, due to launch in the Baltic Republics this coming Friday (August 13).
MTG already has the exclusive rights to the Premier League in Sweden and Bulgaria, and non-exclusive broadcasting rights in Denmark through its TV 2 Sport joint venture.
It has also an agreement in place to carry three TV2 Premier League HD channels on its DTH platform in Norway.
