IBC 2010 – Hall 10, Stand D21. Having worked on 3DTV since the 1980s it is no surprise the technology will form a major part of the EBU’s exhibit at IBC. The organization is currently investigating how 3D can be built into the production chain at reasonable cost along with potential production grammar issues. It is also keeping an eye on the impact of viewing stereoscopic 3DTV over long periods.
The EBU has produced a number of test sequences shot in 1080p/50, which will be shown at IBC, and made available for later download.
Ahead of analogue switch-off there will be demonstrations of Hybrid Broadcast Broadband (HBB) systems by the IRT and RAI, amongst others.
