The Polish incumbent telco TPSA ended the second quarter with 453,000 TV subscribers, or 89% more than the 239,000 posted a year earlier.
The majority (340,000) opted for its DTH rather than IPTV offer, and the company added 36,000 new TV customers in the second quarter.
TPSA also had 2,707,000 fixed broadband accesses at the end of Q2, or 5.3% more than a year earlier.
Quoted in Wirtualne Media, TPSA president Maciej Witucki said that the company is interested in acquiring Aster, Poland’s fourth largest cable operator, and the mobile company P4 should either of them come on the market.
He also said that the infrastructure company EmiTel, its wholly subsidiary, is likely to be sold in the first half of next year.
