German cable operator Kabel BW and Sky Deutschland have agreed to a close marketing cooperation which will see the cabler combining its CleverKabel broadband and telephony offers with Sky subscriptions including the Bundeliga packages. The joint marketing effort will launch in July.
“We are pleased that we can offer our customers a framework for future cooperation with Sky, package offers with fast internet and telephone as well as the premium content from Sky. We’re positioning ourselves clearly as the best entertainment provider in Baden-Wuerttemberg,” said Harald Rösch, chairman of the board at Kabel BW, in a statement.
Wolfram Winter, senior VP of distribution development at Sky Germany, added: “Sky is one of the most attractive entertainment products in Germany. Together with internet and flat-fee telephony, we have developed for all cable customers a high-quality and absolutely competitive package. Cooperation with Kabel BW is also the first sales and marketing cooperation with one of the three major cable network operators.”
Pricing and exact package details will be announced at a later date, with actual marketing of the new offers already starting as early as July.
