Acentic, which supplies TV services to the hotel industry, has agreed a carriage deal with Sky Deutschland as part of a plan to upgrade hotels in Germany and Austria that are currently equipped with Acentic’s analogue systems.
The hotels will be able to choose from three- or six-channel TV packages that provide a broad selection of Sky’s most popular channels. Channel packages include Sky Cinema, Sky Sport 1, Sky Sport 2, Fox, and Discovery Channel.
Richard Robinson, chief operating officer, Acentic said in a statement: “This offer will allow hotels with existing analogue TV technology to benefit from the addition of some of Sky’s most popular channels and demonstrates Acentic’s desire to continually refresh its offering to both hoteliers and guests.”
“This is a great opportunity for Sky Deutschland”, added Giovanni Brunelli, Senior Vice President Customer Operations, Sky Deutschland. “The partnership between our two businesses represents a great opportunity to allow numerous hotel guests to enjoy Sky’s extraordinary TV experience with a positive return for the consumer business too.”
Acentic and Sky will offer hotels a full upgrade package, including latest LCD screens, Sky channel packages, lobby Wi-Fi and headend installation.
