Romtelecom is pursuing a two-pronged strategy with its IPTV platform Dolce Interactiv, which made its debut in December last year.
According to ZF, the platform, which has 10,000 subscribers, 60% of whom have been added in the last month and a half, is protecting the Romanian telco’s fixed voice and internet customer base while at the same time growing its TV market share.
Dolce Interactiv is currently available to customers with a fixed line in 10 cities including the capital, Bucharest, who have internet access of more than 10 Mbps.
There are a total of four subscriptions available, with process ranging from zero to €15.90 a month, depending on the number of channels – the maximum being 88 – and whether or not a fixed line from Romtelecom is included.
