Spanish telecoms operator Jazztel has said it has stopped selling its IPTV service Jazztelia with immediate effect and from now on will only sell third party IPTV services.
The decision was made “after an internal study concluded in recent months on developments in the audiovisual business of the company,” the company said. At the moment, Digital+ sells its platform on the network and Jazztel plans to allow other third parties to sell their services.
According to a Jazztel spokesperson “this decision will improve the company’s operating figures and at the same time, strengthen its presence in the audiovisual market.”
The company has also announced it is working on the development of Over the top TV services, which will allow various web services to become available on the TV screen via the Jazztel set top box.
