As part of of its E! Everywhere initiative E! Entertainment Television’s content will be available on demand via the Web TV application on new Nokia N8 Smartphone, unveiled earlier this month.
The Nokia N8 enables access to Web TV services that deliver programmes, news and entertainment from globally known channels, including E! Entertainment Television.
“E! has established itself of one of the world’s most recognized entertainment TV brands,” said Duccio Donati, executive VP, Comcast International Media Group, in a statement. “We’re dedicated to making our signature E! News content available to our global fan base anywhere and at any time, including via the latest smartphone technology by Nokia.”
Available in Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific, the Nokia 8 E! widget will feature free of charge E! News Now clips, delivering entertainment stories, trends and celebrity interviews. Nokia users will have an option to upgrade to a premium monthly ‘all you can watch’ subscription for long form E! programming, available via subscription video on demand (SVOD). Users may also sample the programming prior to purchase during a one-day free promotional viewing.
The Nokia N8 will be available in select markets during the third quarter of 2010.
