CONNECTED TV SUMMIT – LONDON. Virgin Media is looking into the possibility of adopting the TV Everywhere concept, according to Ian Mecklenburgh, director, digital entertainment CPE.
He also said that its views on Canvas are similar to those of Sky’s.
These were outlined earlier by Griff Parry, Sky’s director of on demand, who despite saying it “doesn’t look attractive for pay-TV operators like us” added “we cannot rule it out.”
Much more enthusiasm for Canvas was shown by Matt Rennie, the commercial director of SeeSaw. The VoD service, which made its debut in February and had its one-millionth customer hit last weekend, regards Canvas as “a big opportunity” and plans to be on the service.
