Samsung joins Astra for 3D channel

Set to be launched on May 4 during the ANGA Cable show in Cologne, SES Astra and Samsung Electronics announced that they will jointly promote 3D television with a new 3D demo channel. Under the terms of the agreement, Samsung will support SES Astra with 3D television content for the channel.

MPEGIF and ISMA to merge

The board of directors of the MPEG Industry Forum (MPEGIF) and Internet Streaming Media Alliance (ISMA) have announced that they have entered into a binding agreement to merge the two organizations
