17:00 Update. Italian media reports that Sky Italia had been granted permission by the European Commission to launch channels on Italy’s DTT platform have been dismissed as inaccurate.
MF reported the Commission had given Sky approval to launch a bouquet of terrestrial channels as soon as this autumn, rather than the 2012 date that had originally been set, however Broadband TV News understands that no such offer has been made.
