French IPTV provider Orange is expected to add the on-demand service MyTF1 to its Livebox service within the next few weeks, according to local press reports.
The service has already been available for some time to subscribers of the BBox from Bouygues Telecom. About 100,000 people, out of the total of 300,000 connected homes, are using the VOD service, which has been around since last November (see Broadband TV News passim).
Orange claims to have 7.3 million Livebox users. In addition, the operator now has 660,000 customers to its premium channels Orange Cinéma Séries et Orange Sport.
During the recent MIPTV in Cannes, France, TF1′s Stephane Cadoch said he expected to roll out the service on other IPTV platforms in the country (see our report here).
