Dutch incumbent telecoms operator KPN says it had 1,033,000 digital TV customers as of March 31, 2010. Of these, just under 100,000 took the IPTV service KPN Interactieve TV, with the remainder subscribing to KPN’s DTT service Digitenne.
KPN has just launched a big marketing push for its IPTV service after completing a major network upgrade. This has given the service an 80% potential reach, of which 70% is HD capable.
The new campaign will focus on the added functionality of its IPTV service, including pause live TV, recording up to 100 hours on a hard disk, and an extensive VOD library.
