The Hungarian cable company TVNetWork has agreed to sell seven of its networks to PR-Telecom. According to BBJ, the combined fee for the networks will be HUF800 million (€3 million).
TVNetWork is based in Budapest and backed by Businesslink, Carose and RCS/RDS’s Digi. The latter, which also operates DTH and cable TV services of the same name in Hungary, acquired a 30% stake in TVNetWork in December 2009 for an undisclosed fee.
PR-Telecom is a long established, Hungarian owned cable operator that claims to be the fifth largest provider of services in six of the country’s 11 geographic regions.
