Poland’s top five cable operators now each offer their subscribers at least 12 HD channels.
A study published by Vectra, the second largest, shows that UPC provides the most (16), followed by Toya (15), itself and Aster (13) and Multimedia (12).
This compares with the 14 HD channels offered by the DTH platform n, nine each by Cyfrowy Polsat and Cyfra+ and none by TP’s DTH service. Vectra adds that it offers more film channels (27) than any of the other four leading cable operators – UPC, Toya and Multimedia each carry 25, and Aster 22 – as well as the country’s four leading DTH platforms.
In the latter case, Cyfra+ is in first place with 26, followed by n with 22, Cyfrowy Polsat with 19 and TP with 18.
Vectra and Toya also provide more kids channels (12) than any of the other cable and DTH operations, and Vectra provides more sports channels (15) than all except UPC (17).
