Slovakia bemoans slow DTT growth

The take-up of DTT services in Slovakia is likely to be slower than previously thought.

According to an assessment by the platform operator Towercom, published in Medialne, only 10% of households will have digital terrestrial, as opposed to 18% analogue terrestrial, as their main TV service this year.

This figure will change to 12% each in 2011, with analogue only falling to zero in 2012, when the country completes ASO.

Towercom launched Slovakia’s DTT service in December last year.
