Stockholm-based NonStop Television is to launch a three-channel portfolio on the new South-African pay-TV platform On Digital Media (ODM).
The company has signed an exclusive long-term agreement to broadcast Showtime, Star and Silver in South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho. The channels will go live at the launch of ODM on May 1.
“South Africa is a fast growing and exciting TV market and we look forward to expand NonStop Television internationally together with ODM”, says Ignas , CEO of NonStop Television. “The timing is perfect, as we project an increased pay TV household penetration along with 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa this summer”.
Showtime will be included in ODM’s Premium Tier. Silver and Star will be a part of the Extended Basic Tier.
