2009 was a difficult year for Lithuania’s TV industry, with ad spend in the sector falling by 37.2% to LTL145 million (€42 million).
According to data produced by TNS LT and published in VZ, only online grew in 2009, up by 33.3% to LTL20 million.
Ad spend as a whole in 2009 fell by 39.2% to LTL329.6 million and is expected to decline by a further 14% this year.
TV spend is projected to fall by 10% this year, while inline will rise by 15%. TV (44%) and newspapers (21.8%) accounted for almost two-thirds of Lithuania’s ad market in 2009.
