The Polish DTH platform Cyfra+ grew its subscriber base by 12% in 2009, ending the year with a total of 1.55 million customers.
Canal+ Cyfrowy, the platform’s operator, saw its revenues increase by 24% to PLN1,279 million (€326.2 million), while EBITDA rose by 10% to PLN244 million, in 2009.
Canal+ Cyfrowy’s plans for this year include growing its subscriber base and enhancing its programming offer. It also aims to make specific services such as VOD and multiroom available to all its clients.
Cyfra+ is the second largest DTH platform in Poland in terms of subscriber numbers after Cyfrowy Polsat.
