The Russian DTH platform Tricolor TV plans to have 100,000 internet subscribers by the end of this year.
However, quoted by AKTR, its general director Vlacheslav Mordachev said that the company has not yet received a licence allowing it to monetise the service – something it hopes will happen by the middle of this month.
Tricolor TV first announced plans to launch a satellite-delivered internet service last autumn. Although it was due to start at the beginning of this year, a delay in obtaining permits put its debut back to last month.
The service is currently received by only around 300 subscribers.
