BBC Entertainment widens Polish reach

The Polish cable operator Aster will add BBC Entertainment to its BasicPLUS package on February 10.
The BasicPLUS package is available to 80,000 subscribers and BBC Entertainment will also continue to be offered in Aster’s BASIC analogue package.
Aster is the fourth largest cable operator in Poland after UPC, Vectra and Multimedia Polska and has a presence in Warsaw, Kraków and Zielona Góra.
As of Q3 2009 it had 380,000 analogue and 79,000 digital TV subscribers, as well as 165,000 internet, 64,000 fixed line and over 36,000 mobile telephony customers.
