Viasat Broadcasting has entered into a joint venture with Da Vinci Media to launch a Russian version of the knowledge and education channel Da Vinci in Russia and a number of countries in the CIS. They include Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The Da Vinci channel made its debut in Poland in September 2007 and has since also been launched in Romania, Turkey, Hungary, Ukraine, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Macedonia.
Viasat Broadcasting’s portfolio in the CEE region includes TV1000 East, TV1000 Russian Kino, TV1000 Action East, Viasat History, Viasat explorer and Viasat Sport East.
