With 240 channels distributed, of which 120 are in the basic tier, the Belgian operator Numericable claims to have the most complete offer in the country. This week, the cabler will add 18 new channels to its line-up.
Numericable is adding eight channels to its basic offer, called TV Plus, and they include BBC HD, Disney Channel and Disney Channel +1 (French language versions). Disney XD will join the Disney pack. At the same time, the operator has launched a Disney VOD service with programming from Disney Channel, PlayHouse Disney and Disney XD.
Other kids channels launched on Numericable are Nick Junior (French) in the Premium offer and Disney NL and Pebble TV (both Dutch language) in the basic tier. Kidsco will replace Teletoons (French); the channel is available with five different soundtracks (French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and English).
New music channels are MTV Base, MTV Pulse and MTV Idol as well as Trace Tropical. However, M6 Music Hits and MCM Pop are dropped. In the Premium option, the French version of National Geographic Wild is added.
New in the basic offer are four English language channels, BBC HD, BBC Entertainment (subtitled in Dutch), BBC World and Russia Today. Penthouse HD is added as an a la carte option.
