SES Sirius is to support Romania in its transition to digital broadcasting, the strategy for which approved last month.
The announcement was made by Hakan Sjödin, MD of SES Sirius, who said: “we are ready to sustain the digital switchover in Romania. According to Financiarul, the transition to digital broadcasting in Romania will be undertaken in several stages, with 90% of the population and 80% of the territory covered by the end of December 2011. ASO will take place at the beginning of 2012.
