French receiver manufacturer Netgem has said the maturity of the IPTV market is likely to lead to an inflection in sales of triple play packages.
Announcing its year end results for 2009 and forecasts for the year ahead the company produced a sharp growth in revenues, rising 46% on 2008 to €146.2 million. The figures included sales of €34.3 million in Q4 2008, down from €38.7 million in the previous year, in the first quarter since the merger of French IPTV concerns SFR and Neuf.
Netgem is looking to spin-off its video-on-demand service VideoFutur, available to Wi-Fi enabled owners of the Netbox product in France, Spain, Belgium and Luxembourg. The move is expected to take place at the end of January.
