The Polish National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) has given its backing to a proposed major change to the country’s nascent DTT operation.
According to Satkurier, it would see the commercial stations Polsat, TVN and TV Puls moved from the first multiplex, where they are currently located alongside the public broadcaster’s TVP1, TVP2 and TVP Info and commercial station TV4, to the still-to-be launched second multiplex.
Polsat, TVN and TV Puls would be FTA on the second multiplex, while TV4 would probably be one of four paid-for services, also on the second multiplex.
A competition would be held for the four resulting vacant spots in the first multiplex.
