The M7 Group has said more than 100,000 customers have now registered to its two Belgian DTH platforms, TV Vlaanderen in the Dutch-speaking Flanders and TéléSat for the French-speaking part of the country.
The Walloon DTH service was launched at the beginning of the year and is active on both Astra at 19.2 degrees East and the Eutelsat Hot Bird position at 13 degrees East. The platform recently added several channels including Disney Channel, NT1 and MTVN HD.
TV Vlaanderen has been around for a number of years. Recent additions to this platform included the kids channel vtmKzoom, Acht (8) and VRT Eén HD.
Kurt Pauwels, M7 Group Executive VP for Belgium and Luxembourg: “Belgium is a traditional cable country, but TV Vlaanderen and TéléSat have proven that in Belgium a market for satellite exists. 100,000 individual families, about one quarter of a million viewers, have made the choice for satellite. We will expand and broaden our offerings with more product innovations and new services to better serve our present and future customers.”
